Ben Merk
System Sales Engineer
Ben is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, earning a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Through UC’s co-op program, he gained experience in mechanical system design at an architecture/engineering design firm, in power generation at an electric utility, and at Lathrop Trotter.
Ben began working as a part-time co-op at Lathrop Trotter in January 2019, as an applications engineer co-op. Ben graduated from UC in May of 2020 and transitioned to his current full-time role as a sales engineer. Ben has been working almost exclusively in the southwest Ohio territory since his start.
His hobbies include spending time outdoors, reading, Cincinnati sports, cooking, volunteering with the Pray Hope Believe Foundation, and visiting craft breweries. He was born and raised in Cincinnati and currently resides in Oakley with his wife, Ashley.
