Miura LX Gas/Low NOx Series
These low and high-pressure steam boilers are available in boilers from 50 -300HP and use natural gas or propane. They are offered with a range of steam options (300 MAWP, 170 MAWP or 15 MAWP). The compact size allows most of these boiler models to fit through an industrial 7-foot doorway. Naturally, low NOx ratings can be as minimal as 9ppm depending on the model, which meets or exceeds current and proposed regulations for nitrogen oxide emissions levels.
Miura EX Gas/Oil Series
Versatile due to their dual fuel capabilities, EX high-pressure steam boilers are available in 100HP, and in 50 HP increments up to 300HP models. They can burn natural gas, propane, or #2 fuel oil.
The LX-Series design features vertical water tubes in a rectangular arrangement, while the EX-Series utilizes vertical water tubes in a circular configuration. Each type has headers that are encased in a castable refractory, having only the tubes exposed to flame or combustion gases. The upper header is attached to the lower header by tubes only, and the headers float up and down as the tubes expand and contract. This floating header design promotes an even thermal expansion of the tubes for reduced stress points within the boiler and eliminates the leaky tube problems associated with firetube and bent water tube boiler designs.
Every Miura boiler pressure vessel model undergoes extensive analytical design and empirical testing to ensure maximum heat transfer while maintaining a robust design. Over 100 thermocouples and other types of sensors ensure that each boiler design will provide maximum heat transfer without the risk of overheating, cracking, or thermal stress, all while maintaining high steam quality (99%+ dry saturated steam).
