Lathrop Trotter is pleased to welcome Ben Merk to our team as a full time employee. Ben began working for Lathrop Trotter part-time in January 2019 as an applications engineer co-op. He will now be transitioning from this role to a full time position as Sales Engineer.
Ben is a recent graduate of the University of Cincinnati where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Through UC’s co-op program, he was able to gain experience in mechanical system design at an architecture/engineering design firm, in power generation at an electric utility company, and most recently here at Lathrop Trotter.
Ben’s hobbies include being outdoors, reading, UC sports, cooking, and volunteering with the Pray Hope Believe foundation. He was born and raised in Cincinnati but lived in Louisville for nearly a year while in a co-op position. He currently lives in the area of Mt. Lookout in Cincinnati.
As Sales Engineer, Ben’s initial focus will be on selling industrial fans and blowers in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. As he continues with Lathrop Trotter, his additional responsibilities will include selling the full line of boilers, burners, and other industrial and commercial equipment for which Lathrop Trotter is most recognized.
We believe Ben will continue to be a valuable member of our team, and we look forward to benefiting from the contributions he will bring.
